I have to say that Helen McAntee is an absolute knobhead.

She ducking questions on this topic and giving the usual bullshit politician's answers.

    She is an incredible phoney.

I remember your man Airbusdriver talking shite about how great she was and how forward thinking she was and that she could really help THIS industry... meanwhile she was trying her hardest to shut THIS website down. When proved completely wrong he just left the thread and didn't come back to it. There he was misleading other members who didn't know any better .

    Same thing.

    So sad.

“Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” said Lord Acton, the 19th-century British historian.

In a study recently published in the Journal of Applied Psychology, DeCelles and her co-authors found that the answer is yes. People’s sense of “moral identity”—the degree to which they thought it was important to their sense of self to be “caring,” “compassionate,” “fair,” “generous” and so on—shaped their responses to feelings of power.

In sum, the study found, power doesn’t corrupt; it heightens pre-existing ethical tendencies. Which brings to mind another maxim, from Abraham Lincoln: “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.”
