BTW: This is nothing whatsoever to do with me. First I heard of this was when I read it in the Irish Times half an hour ago. It seems like a welcome development though!!!
With Brian Cowen off to speak with Sarkozy about replaying the soccer match I guess there's only so much stupidity to go around.

when I was a boy, 18 years, no more, I had a party in my house in Dublin South, and a Garda called to my door, and accused me of running a brothel, told me he was going to knock my teeth in.
Well, I just happen to have a friend who's dad is special branch, so I took the copper's badge number and wouldn't you know it? he turned out to be running brothels in the baggot street area.
I don't trust the garda when it comes to punting
i think this word punting is funny i mean we are not putting a bet on a horse i always meet my escorts for companionship and frienship at this stage and i love it long live high class escorts
I think it's because of the "risk" and they associate it with the type of person that like an adrenaline rush and may be doing something a little ill-advised and that you can form a habit/problem with it. It's a bit of a chance you take as well, hit and hope like a punt up the pitch.
Personally I would never gamble unless I truly felt I would make more money than I would lose in the long-run. To me it doesn't really make sense otherwise.
