    They do not.

How many european and south american teams have gotten "to the quarter or semi finals" in world cups? I would implement a system where the amount of teams that got through a qualifiers would be dependant on how well their regions did in the world cup. That would be undeniably and perfectly fair. Each region could at least have one team going through.

Some of you are a right joke. That FIFA allows too many of them in is a known issue, it's not something that anyone can deny. It's done to make money for the governing body. It's blatant.
How many Eurooean and S American teams are there in the World Cup compared to Asian and African teams

    13 european teams.

    5 south american teams.

    14 other teams.

Gee, I wonder is that fair. There's no point in trying to argue it because it's a well-known abuse by FIFA.

If you look at the second round of the 2006 World Cup:

2006 FIFA World Cup - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

10 european teams (nearly every one in the competition, what a joke).

    3 south american teams.

    2 other teams.

Oh lolllll... would you look at that?!

This is despite the fact that they were seeded favourably for the group stage.

So next time think twice before you decide to rubbish what nicegirlsarenice says. If the FAI and others had listened to me before the World Cup we wouldn't be in this position in the first place. It's too late now, and what they're trying to do is extremely unethical, unfair and making a disgrace of our nation.

If Ireland got through on a replay I would feel it was a farce and that Ireland were a stain on the world game. I would not fill out a world cup scoresheet/wallchart of results as I did with excitement the other times we got through, I might have a wallchart and cross Ireland out and hope they didn't get any furthur.

But not to worry, just because our own political system and government associations (and to some extent media) are such a farce and so stupid doesn't mean europe's are. We won't get a replay, it'd be a complete mockery.

    Default Like Roy Keane said

France were there for the talking and Ireland didnt take it.They should have destroyed France but didnt put their chances away.

Ireland can take solace by the fact that France will be destroyed in a World Cup the way that they are currently playing.

they havnt a hope of reaching the final let alone winning it,

we had our chances to win but we did not take them, i dont blame Henry, at the end of the day it is all about winning and you will do what ever it takes to win, so we will just have to take our beating and move on, in a week or two it will all be forgotten about,

    Dipshit

10 +3+2=15 there are 16 teams in the second round.

And to think FIFA didn't listen to you.
