Why was my ad thread locked!?!?!?

No it wasn't QPH that locked it.

I wouldn't normally lock threads. But this was an ad and everyone was having their say. It was turning into a general chat topic. Perhaps the best thing would have been to move it to general chat in the first place.

Ok. so now it was explained to me by pm, why the ad was locked and I know by whom. I accept this. As the original thread was moved from ad sec. the question now stands : Did the post belong to ad section? I believe it did, because it got attention and attracted business potential - this is the purpose of advertising, isn't it? By meeting this criteria, I believe that the post was an advert in the real meaning and thus should be allowed to be posted in ad section.
We are not Communists, so we wont be telling people, how their advert is supposed to look like. I remember when I was a child ( in the Communist block ) there were no advertisings on tv, except a few boring ones, recomending products granted by goverment but it didnt really make any difference, because there werent any other products on the market. Back then, nobody knew or cared, that sex sales. I am surpriced, that on EI in 2009, some people still wont accept this.

According to your profile, you are 24 years of age i.e. born in 1985 or thereabouts and communist rule ended in the old Czechoslovakia in 1989.....so how much could you personally remember of living in a communist society or under a communist regime, never mind that "back then, nobody knew or cared, that sex sales".........you were hardly involved in this business as a 4 year old.

Nobody here is telling you what an advert looks like......it's up to you to produce your own advert thread, what we are doing is differentiating between what constitutes an advertisement and what constitutes a bumping post.......that's called regulation....not communism.

Your advertising threads can run to 3 and 4 pages in length. Many of the contributions by other members don't constitute questions regarding your services or availability, they are simply complimenting you and/or your services. Some questions are spurious or unnecessary as a perusal of your advertisement page would make them unnecessary and some of the posts (the ones I deleted) had nothing whatsoever do to with you and should never have been posted there. Continuously posting to bump up posts either by escorts or by their favourite clients puts other escorts who do not engage in this practice at a potential disadvantage and is an issue that community moderators are committed to addressing.

Whether you were trying to protect Nikky or not on her advertising thread, you were engaging in an exchange with HWDW which has no place on that thread and only served to bump her thread ahead of those of other escorts. Apart from this, when potential clients see those sort of exchanges going on on an advertising thread it could either distract them from the advert content itself or the amount of drivel they have to wade to could put them off altogether and the escort suffers.

Given that Nikky is quite capable of posting an advertising thread, I assume that she is equally capable of responding to harassment from HWDW or anybody else on one of her threads or reporting the thread, so that E-I Staff or Community Moderators can deal with the issue.

As for HWDW being "all around this thread again", if he has'nt broken any rules here, what would you have me do?

There are other threads of 4 pages( not mine) and nobody locks them or deletes them, even though not all post enquire about services.....
If another escorts are concerned that they are in disadvantage becouse they dont engage, what does this to do with me? It's my efforts and time to engega here and I should be awarded for it rather then anything else... I am not causing a disadvantege to anyone, I merely work to cause advantage for meself. Who is holding them back to do the same?
Another thing, so far it was common that some posters constantly post on ( other)escorts ads and nobody ever said a word, that this is not allowed.......

Regards nikky, i know she is perfectly capable to report inerferors on her ads if she is online, but in this case, I knew she was off work and she wouldnt come to the boards for few days, so she couldnt do anything, thats why i reported th post.

I dont have you to do anything about hwdw, and i dont do anything about him either, as u can see, I just constanly ignore him as i certainly dont want to engage with such people. But it can be tough if he, although i asked him to kindly leave me alone, is always around, no matter what I post or where i post.

now please leave these matters aside and if you want to post on this thread, please focus on the matter the thread is about - my locked and then moved ad thread - if i may remind you.
