Annabel Taylor has a bit of irish but sure if fluent ,highly doubtful .

There are probably less than a 1000 people in the country fluent.

I was in a place called min a chladaigh back in the day , 2005 to be precise and there were about 100-150 native speakers but i doubt its like that today.

Ok, 5000 then! Those irish speaking secondary schools are not native speakers, they aren't 100% fluent.

Donegal/Galway there are few towns left. Its dyeing away slowly!

"Of the 1,761,420 persons who answered yes to being able to speak Irish, 418,420 indicated they never spoke it, while a further 558,608 indicated they only spoke it within the education system. Of the remaining group, 586,535 persons indicated they spoke Irish less often than weekly, 111,473 spoke weekly while just 73,803 persons spoke Irish daily."

Outside the big smoke there is quite a few left
