    Annabel Taylor has a bit of irish but sure if fluent ,highly doubtful .

    There are probably less than a 1000 people in the country fluent.

    I was in a place called min a chladaigh back in the day , 2005 to be precise and there were about 100-150 native speakers but i doubt its like that today.

    Plenty Irish still spoken daily in western part of country.. certainly more than 1000 people..

    Theres over 200 gaeilscoils, I dont know how many Irish speaking secondary schools, Irish speaking GAA clubs, etc etc

    Ok, 5000 then! Those irish speaking secondary schools are not native speakers, they aren't 100% fluent.

    Donegal/Galway there are few towns left. Its dyeing away slowly!
