Thread: Help me understand legal stance

Default Help me understand legal stance

Using Google, I can search for "erotic massage dublin" - yay, some results, makes me happy as I'm visiting soon!

However, are these places legal? and if not, how is it the case they can freely advertise their services and the police are not closing them down? it makes me nervous that it could be raided while "on site".

Confused and curious... am I over thinking things or missing something?

    The massage place is legal

The extras may not be, but how can they prove it?

You should be safe enough. Dont worry.

Hi! And what about the ladies advertising here offering massages in a private place? Have u heard of any incidents in the past?
I am at the same spot maybe overthinking it as the other fellow visiting dublin… the difference I just moved to dublin and I am worried I end up with legal troubles not knowing the ropes here and what is safe and what is not….

if licensed they are legal, its a very grey area otherwise as two or more escorts offering massage services usually means more, its all bullshit really as the Government just wants everyone licensed and paying tax for their highly corrupt lifestyle.
Saying that I would not worry too much about it, go out and have fun

If the massage is advertised without any sexual element, it breaks no laws.

If they advertise "Erotic massage" or "Happy ending massage" that makes it a sexual service, and clients are breaking the law.

As stated in many threads here, the practical risks are tiny unless you are stupid about it. Most of the few successful prosecutions have happened when the client incriminated themselves by talking too much.

But surely here on EI all are advertised as sexual services.
What do you mean by incriminating themselves anyway. Are you saying if you just say nothing happened then everything would be fine. Your message is kinda contradictory

A lady could be offering a simple massage but if she is sharing with other escorts the Filth raid anyway just to keep the statistics right.
I enjoyed the chase and jumping out windows knowing the fat cops could not caught me
its all a balls really and messed up law, at least us British are sensible when it comes to laws on sex,

Do not admit to paying for anything sexual. If caught in the act, she just suddenly found you irresistible and surprised you.
And be careful not to visit anyone underage, or that might be there against their will.
And be nice, you don't want that lady to decide to give evidence against you.
To anyone that doesn't like me here.
I hope you need to pee 3 times tonight, but that you only wake up twice.
