You can see if the recipient is online, if the message has reached their phone, and whether they have read it.
All these settings can be set at your discretion only visible to whom or when you choose!
It's end to end encryption and a message sent can be deleted if required by the sender from both phones, plus your network provider has no visibility of who are when you text or call,
You can set and change your own photo as and when you choose or add a short status video to your number, I've only been using it for a while but definitely better for me plus it's free to contact anyone anywhere in the world as long as you have internet connection
And it's a free download self install

whatsapp is very common over here but not private at all, texts more private, the thing i like about WA is that the lady can prove thats it is really her in the pictures by sending you a video, Mark Zuckerberg must be really blind by now
I don't get this bit. Texts are visible to both cellular provider systems, if anyone is interested enough to look, or if police obtain a warrant. The content of WhatsApp messages is visible only to receiving and sending parties, and not crackable without substantial expertise and resource.
I have had occasional problems (maybe with one in 20 conversations) where texts get unexplained delays, sometimes a few hours. I think this happens most often when they are different cellular providers and one number is Irish, the other UK.
It took a little effort to install WhatsApp on a burner in a way that does not link to anything else, but it has made life massively easier. As well as the advantages already mentioned, the communication feels much richer and more natural on WhatsApp compared to text. It would be good if EI added a WhatsApp Yes/No to the communications section of Escort advertisements.

100% agree, WhatsApp is encrypted on both ends, far more secure than texts, obviously not uncrackable but much more of a challenge.
you made a great point, it does feel a lot more personal than texts, you def are more conscious of the person on the other end, the banter is more off the cuff and natural, it will always be my first choice method of communication
