So how did the day Go ?! X

How many / crowd ; and ‘Who’ had gone ?

Was it peaceful ☮️ and well organized ?

    Good turnout ?

Were the stated intended goals achieved or least inched towards ?

    Was it a joyous day ☀️ ? X

It went v well, I reckon 20,000 to 30,000 organizer's say 50,000 . While I was there no trouble . Far right had planned a march near same point but I am guessing when they saw vast crowds they knew it would only make them look to be what they actually are a tiny group. I saw 2 guys masked up not medical walked through at start but moved on not sure if they were part of that. Massive age range and issues attached to it but all I spoke to had a central reason to be there. I will put it like this , whatever the problem the far right are not the answer . One older man said he never ever thought he would be marching against Fascists/far right in Ireland

Tommy Robinson never showed up surprise surprise however they will continue to agitate . Will this stop them, no but it is a contribution to the debate that cannot be ignored . And that made it very worthwhile , they the Far Right cannot say they speak for the majority anymore given the huge crowds .

50,000 is the same capacity as the Aviva. There was a great turn out and thousands there, 50k is a vast over estimation

So glad to hear it went off peacefully and that such large number of people came out ,

    Clearly they Care .

So if I may : were the causes of the Original Countrywide Protests addressed at all ?

Was there any discussion or speeches addressing the legitimate concerns of Irish people say of Northwall et. al. ?

Just caught a video : in it an immigrant man is threatening two Irish women in a welfare center .

    They are terrified .

Have those issues been addressed ? Were they even spoken of at this rally ?

    I’m glad you went , BA .

Glad right-wing could not disrupt . I’d SO hope that legit concerns of Irish ☘️ people should not be

    hijacked by extremist’s agenda ! X

The welfare center is closed ; it is only the two Irish women there and this

military age belligerent immigrant man demanding smokes , demanding Money from them ,

and threatening them “I will kill you” etc. calling these frightened women “bitches” ; etc. etc. etc.

    “What do you have ?”

Nothing . We have no money here .

“You make me beg I’ll kill you”

My iPad acting up l cannot post video x

The march had a simple voice, no to far right , not trying to solve other issues , if you support Refugees it does not follow that you support dangerous behaviour by some of them . Such a demonstration will not deal with individual events as you describe . Hopefully Gardai are on the one you mention. I assure you that we have many of these incidents already from home players but they do not get such focus.

I saw a guy on O Connel bridge other day attack a woman migrant threw abusive threats and poured a drink over her head , I was the only one who challenged him , he was a scumbag grade 1 .

The far right is practically non existent in Ireland, fact.

The extreme left are bigging them up to justify there own extreme views.

    These people are dangerous Stalinists.

Scum come in all colors , shades and sizes x

Not restricted to any nationality or ethnicity .

Yet this outpouring of care that was demonstrated by this march : am I to understand

it was merely a feel-good get together to demonstrate unity against far-right ?

    Imo :

There are bigger more pressing issues at hand : addressing > born Irish local indigenous people’s

    Legitimate concerns !?

Extremists on both sides need to be called out.

Should we help people that genuinely need refuge, yes.

Should we allow unfiltered immigration, no.

Both sides need to step down and stop escalating things for political purposes.

One thing that is absolutely apparent is the government have mishandled the whole situation and they need to be held accountable. They are throwing their hat in with one side at the moment to get heat off themselves.

But that appears to be the case - at least to This outsider looking in x

No comedown on ill behavior for fear of being labeled racist .

Policing hogtied by political correctness and fear of being ‘canceled’ .

Do you not see that ? Would you not agree ?
