Not really a deterrent but it may help locate her attacker, should he take her mobile once this software is installed all you have to do is send a text and it will covertly reply with the phones position. 2 main downsides are the phone must be symbian 60 (most new nokias) and have a gps receiver, and the must not remove the sim, but these guys are greedy so they might leave the phone on to see who is calling it.

Police can generally do that anyway for nearly any phone: Mobile Phone Forensics - Forensic services by Disklabs
The truth is girls need security nowadays
People have changed alot compared to 20-30 years ago, no morals nowadays just greedy self serving motivations
With the recession some shams may think some businesses are a fairly easy target. You never know whos calling. Alot of sick people on the loose these days
Not sure why, no values, morals or respect, presence of drugs, presence of extreme violence on TV and internet, irresponsible media promoting "liberation" in every part of life all leads to a growing yob or thuggish culture as has happened alot in other countries
Long story short, better be safe than sorry. security is no longer a luxury but a vital necessity!
one rogue punter could make things very difficult for the rest.scenario....god forbid but lady gets attacked and is killed, their going to go through her phone and computer to see who she was in contact with, you just might get a knock on your door from the authorities to explain your whereabouts-some explaining to do there if your wife is in...scenario...lady is badly injured in the six counties, police have phone or ip evidence, your now on their system and decide they could put you to better use,now that you have compromised yourself.think it couldnt happen-think again
This may sound a bit controversial but...
What if the ladies put cameras up to catch every punter on video? The cost of cameras is going down and they could be well-hidden. There's no way the punter could know it was there and there's nothing to stop girls from doing it anyway. Hotels have CCTV cameras which I think record people as well.
99.99% of the time it mightn't be used, but for a robbery or something like that it could be very useful. A girl might even help out police identify someone if she already had that punter on video (even though it wasn't at the scene).
I'd say this would be counter productive. If a guy is going to hit a girl with a motor bike helmet for no apparent reason what will he do to her to find out where the camera/recorder is. Also I'm sure there would have to be a sign up saying CCTV in operation for the camera to be legal!!
Just at the blue sky thinking end of the scale but as most Escorts seem to have a laptop how about a private system that allows the Escort to state that she is soon to start a booking and clicks on a duration period and if when that time is reached she has not unclicked it or stated that booking is over maybe some way for EI to send text and if no reply then alert local Police. That would require her to have given EI location and room number and maybe legal issues also but just throwing it out there.

For a resident escort to install a CCTV camera outside the door to her building/apartment or in the hall of the apartment, she would at the very least, require the approval of the landlord/letting agency. In the case of touring escorts, this issue does not even arise. As regards a hidden CCTV camera in the bedroom, this would pose all sorts of legal difficulties regarding privacy.
