    Default I beg to differ.

I must come out and admit that I am a great fan of Newstalk. Some excellent presenters IMHO such as Ivan Yates, Tom Dunne, Sean himself who I find most amusing, sorry folks, and I even listen to George Hook sans malice, and the sports show in the evening is always worth a listen, yer man Gilroy is a most excellent presenter.

And really chaps, I do note an element of over sensitiveness when ye hear EI being examined on the airways or in the press. Its a free country you know. Dont be so defensive, I think it betrays a certain element of guilt. Do you feel guilty .?

To be honest Off the ball is great, I preferred the Breakfast show when Ger Gilroy presented it, I think there is a Fine Gael bias between the main breakfast show and the Drivetime show. Not surprising given that the owner had a blueshirt in his pocket at one stage.
George Hook is trying the whole american shock jock technique he got from that right wing american he has on all the time and it doesn't work for him, I listened twice this week and he started the show the same way playing clips then giving his commentary and at least twice he misquoted or misunderstood what the person in the clip had said.

I don't like Tom Dunne something a bit flakey about him, The lunchtime guy can be OK sometimes and in fairness Moncrief is about the best of them outside of off the ball.

The right wing American shock jock is a bloody disgrace - I think it was awful to give him any airtime whatsoever. A prize idiot.

Agree with your sentiments about Ger Gilroy. To be honest I cant praise him highly enough.
I believe Ivan would be our next PM had he not gone back to his bookies business, he obviously didnt like the odds, or did if you know what I mean.

The best thing about Tom Dunne is that he isn't Ray Darcy or Gerry Ryan or Joe Duffy thank fuck. I need someone like him in the morning when my mood is a dark one.

As for DOB, dont get me started.
