    So hopefully he is sanctioned.

I have nothing against someone been tackled who is running away but face first into the pavement with serious force it not how you arrest someone!
Criminals have no age and gender. Maybe next time they think to steal a car they will remember this ''rought handling'' and ''bad treatment'' they got from Garda and they will think twice.

    They could be easily identified.
The guards are too busy watching apartments and contacting landlords though.
Ah sure the judges will just be like, "ah sure boys will be boys", and throw them a nice suspended sentence. Poor wee darlings.

I'm no fan of the guards, but they have their work cut out with some of these wasters.
I agree youth these days are out of control. I witnessed how a bunch of kids, ten of them, boys and girls ages 12 to 15 busted into the Spar shop and grabbed everything they could grab in a hurry :botlles of juice, snacks, ice cream, etc, and ran away.

Funny you mention that. I heard the ring leader is a slightly older lad that s causing a bit of trouble around the North side. He, himself has had a bit of a reputation for causing trouble in chippers and takeaways.

Inappropriate sentencing is the cause of it all , I'd agree fully there. But guards purposely inflicting injuries on suspects is not the way to go. That is not in the job description.

Very true. There's enough of them that are bullies thinking they are above the law, and that goes for any police force.

Firstly Robert if I were you I wouldn't be making any formal complaints about this incident, especially after starting a thread about it here !! You don't know who's looking at this and it wouldn't take a genius to link your Ei profile with the lad making the official complaint

Secondly I've no sympathy for little scumbags who steal cars and endanger the lives of countless innocent people.
We have two lives , the second begins when we realise we only have one .....

The funny thing I didn't mention was when the juvenile got out of the car and ran down the street towards Parnell, he left the car on the Luas tracks and blocked the Luas!
