    Default Dominick Street Luas Stop

Witnessed arrest at this Luas stop at 7.30 this evening.

Kids had stolen a car and were joyriding it. Guards came & he ran.

Garda used excessive force, kid was badly injured .

I'll be complain to the garda ombudsman, it was like something from America.

I understand it was a fairly serious crime but they kid xoud of been killed!

Police are the same in every country; you have those who genuinely want to try and make their country safer, and those who are obsessed with the modicum of power bestowed to them who think they are above the law they're supposed to uphold. No accountability either.

Don't go stealing cars. Don't go joyriding - some poor innocent kid could have been killed.

    Goes both ways.

as i said it was a serious crime but face first into the pavement is not how you tackle someone. He looked like a knacker himself.

    Could of killed him.

I rang Store street garda station about what i witnessed.

    They have it on video.

    So hopefully he is sanctioned.

I have nothing against someone been tackled who is running away but face first into the pavement with serious force it not how you arrest someone!

Exactly , at least a deterrent was administered before the court / judge slap on wrist .

And what about the "kid" who stabbed mother of two Urantsetseg Tserendor to death as she walked home from work, or the garda who were hospitalised after calling to a pub brawl , or the garda that were repeatedly rammed in Ballyfermot by joyriders .. When you are complaining to the ombudsman you might also make the time to sympathise with the families of all of the above who were also injured by these criminals

The youth in Dublin are out of control. I seen a young fella on a bike telling a woman to get the fuck out of his way and calls her a stupid cunt...about 15 he was. I shouted at him, but he cycles a good bit ahead and then stop and mouths off before quickly cycling off. A fucking disgrace some of them.

I'm no fan of the guards, but they have their work cut out with some of these wasters.

Yeah actually in fairness to them, must be pretty shitty seeing what good work they do go to waste when the judiciary in this country do sweet f*ck all in terms of deterrents for offenders. What f*cking good does a 'suspended sentence' do??
