designer names v cheaper brands, regarding clothes for men?

i was in dublin yesterday, and brought 2 pairs ov armani jeans for over 350euro, when my sister came around last night, she asked what was in the brown thomas bag i said 2 pairs ov jeans, she said give us a look and when she seen the price she said are you fucking crazy but thats just you!

so what im asking is , i think i have this thing when it comes to buying clothes, if it dosent have a designer label on then i wont buy it simple as that, i think it goes back to my time in manchester, maybe the lads who go over to manchester and liverpool and watch the football matches, will vouch for this, is some parts ov these cities you need to be really smartly dressed or you just dont get in to some places!

i go to dublin 2 or 3 times a year and buy some clothes, as we dont have the brands i like in wexford,
it has to be a top label, ie, armani, hugo boss, gant, ralph lauren, ted baker, paul smith etc, or i just wont wear it, my sister says you get the same stuff in pennys or dunnes for far less than you pay for 1 pair ov jeans!

so lads when it comes to buying clothes do you look for designer brands or do you just buy what looks nice regardless of what name it is?

or ladies do you like your man to be well dressed in designer gear, or again you dont care what brand as long as he looks good in it?
I buy good stuff but i buy stuff that looks good as well regardless of brand.I tend to keep the good stuff for good occaisions though.I love tracksuits and hoodies and they save me wear and tear on good stuff.

As far as jeans go i love levis 501 and at 70 or so a paor you cant go wrong.Having said that i paid 250 or so for leather ones.

    all style,
    Westside.

hmmmm hwdw i have no clue what r u talking about.....

Hehe they got some very cute ones sometimes, isn't it???

They are not much quality but at home, for yourself they're great.

Talking about lingerie bought in pennies, I remeber one time I have seen some white & black lingerie in there and it was looking really good for the price (something like 5 euro ).

Got greedy and bought 3 pairs of everything in that range (corset, panties, bra).

When I got home, I noticed about 30 girls on E -I wearing in their photos the same lingerie

Needless to say, I never put those things on for a client ...

    labels mean nothing.

If anything, any of the high fashion labeled clothes I own are discreet, ie my armani suits don't have Armani plastered all over them, but I believe in the old saying, the man maketh the clothes, not the other way around.

Maybe because of my up-bringing (the women in my family always made sure that the men dressed well and had the best gear, even if it meant spending more on their clothing versus their own) men should spend more to dress well. Maybe now, but before it was nearly impossible to spend less on mens' clothing-there's nothing worst than a man in a cheap suit-it's essential that a man dresses to impress-think of Italians: and how well black men can full suitscool:
