I saw the PSNI raids on the news. They brought a BBC film crew on the raids with them in Newry. Imagine appearing on that with your face blurred but the missus recognising you from the clothes!! I Had a booking in Newry last week, had to cancel. Jaysus!

If they brought a film crew, perhaps raids more to convince some people they are taking action, rather than help anyone, or enforce any laws.

It was a few years ago and I think one of the neighbours got suspicious and reported it and as it’s Dublin 6 the cops had to do something.
I wouldn’t worry unduly just take normal precautions, I was bit naive at the time and didn’t notice two guys in a jeep looking at the place 🙄

Thank you. It's always good to do a recce of the street up & down 10 mins before appointment time & try to spot any observers.

Two near misses recently( County Tyrone) I'm pretty new to this but not stupid, parked up after confirmation of address just about to get out of the car reverse parked obviously, jeep pulls up along side park's straight in beside me, so glanced out the window out of curiosity peeler looking in the window straight at me
scared the ##¢$€£?! life out of me,
so I messed about in the glove compartment taking my time then drove off, phoned the lady from a bit down the road and she said yes she could see them in layby outside her window, so home without meet 😭 arranged date at different location few days later
