I'll be back in Dublin for a night for the first time in a long time soon and my knowledge of the city's nightlife is a little out of date to put it mildly.

Pub/club scene dead. Embarrassingly you'd be best off somewhere in Temple Bar where all the idiot tourists go. The Temple Bar pub would have a few knocking around. I like JW Sweetman's off O'Connell Bridge. Could have pulled a Canadian bird there a couple of months ago...easy pickings, but I cut her loose lol. Again a lot of tourists. The Ferryman further up the Liffey is a decent bar.
