We are headed for big problems, it's a noble cause to help those in need, what's happening to those in Ukraine is horrible but we already have an issue with homelessness here. Bringing more than we can provide for is going to end in an unmitigated disaster. There are already families living in tents, we champion ourselves as humanitarians but to bring women and children here to sleep on our streets is shocking.
The government is more worried about "atta boy" from Brussels than the long term effects it will actually have on the people. Couple that with the fact that there are people flying in that are not from Ukraine and destroying their passports so they can't be traced. As Tommy said this will go on for years unless we get a handle on it now.

No comment from RTE about all the Ukrainian males of military age that were milling about Dublin airport the other day violating their own country’s laws, don’t get me wrong, I’d be heading the opposite direction from the front line as well but money is changing hands shortly before they get their passport stamped, Ukraine is nearly as corrupt as this country
