My twopence worth, when I am making a booking, I will say how long it will take me to.get to the location and arrange the final confirmation text / call will be made to allow.me.enough time to travel and get parking etc. If there's no response I will assume she's not available, doesn't really.matter why she's not, and if she does call back if it's possible to reschedule I will.

My day can go pear shaped as can everyone else's, hence why the confirmation makes sense for both parties.

Same as everyone says don't leave negative review. In future if you are going to travel make sure you have 2nd option just in case
