If they ask I always tell them and if they don’t understand I might show them a photo of recent work, I also tell them my real name , its just conversation.

I do only ask if I get asked, I do always get asked if I have another job besides doing this so I’ll always say my old job and than I ask so what do you do for a living , I do get the odd stuttering but I do always get honest replies as I do be honest too haha x

No spent most of my 13 years behind a desk. like I said 80% boring, it was just the other 20% that I was flying by the seat of my pants. I saw a lot of dead bodes in my time, I had to even make the odd one semi-respectable, but thankfully I never had to really work with them, or put them there.

My job is so mind numbingly dull that I generally answer accountant, its finance based and I spend shit loads of my employers money so it's not too far from the truth, I've shared my real first name with very few, one or two max over the years and only if I think if its going to an ongoing thing, easier to do that than try to remember a fake name.

I learned years ago that it was better to lie regarding personal details. It makes no difference anyway as it's just idle chit chat. Too much honesty can come back to bite you.
