Actually the minimum wage one has been misunderstood the argument is not that the EU can set or change Irelands minimum wage but that rulings by the EU courts could undermine and effectively make the minimum wage irrelevant or force Ireland to drop it to allow Irish companies to compete.
This is based on the Eu ruling that EU companies can bid for contracts and bring their own workers from their own state and pay them the minimum wage in the home state not the country they are actually working in

This effectively means that a Polish or a company from any other low wage EU country could bring workers here and pay them the Polish minimum wage for example or even a multiple of the minimum wage there which would still be far lower than the Irish minimum wage.
The Irish government would then be pressured by IBEC CIF etc to drop the Irish minimum wage so they could compete etc etc.
Its the Crips and the Bloods all over again
