    Other Monarchies have done this but this is unlikely because it is not in line with tradition. Even in a world where Popes can quit, it seems British Monarchs can not.

    He be desperate to have another reigning Uk Monarch visit Ireland again before he out of office in 2024. Charles and Camila visiting Ireland every year for many years.

    Tell Harry and Meghan how easy the job was! They were doing a fraction of her workload and had to bail out!
    Andrew too, screwed up mightily.

    She never had a scandal and lived her entire life under scrutiny. Couldn't say the wrong thing and didn't. How many politicians could you say that about.
    Meet and greeting people all the time and always being in good form.
    AND, working until you are ninety-six years of age. And only getting to retire when you die.

    Being head of state is never easy in any country, but few do it for seventy years.
