    Default Dr Vicky Conway RIP

    I see the sad news that Vicky Conway, DCU, has died suddenly. She had lobbied for the decriminalisation of the purchase of sex in Ireland and was a vocal person in seeking to protect the rights of sex workers. Whilst I didn't agree with all her views and opinions she will be a loss in terms of getting our stupid laws around sex purchase sorted out. RIP Vicky.

    She suffered with Bipolar Disorder. I wonder did she take her own life?

    I was lucky enough to have her as course tutor for a semester and I've followed her career since.

    A huge intellect, a supportive and understanding tutor, with huge energy and capacity to get things done.

    We've lost a national treasure.
