DUP can’t come to terms with an Irish nationalist first minister. Wonder how they’ll deal with a British PM of Indian descent ?

Rishi Sunak is likely to be declared the latest UK Prime Minister today at 2PM.
He has an overwhelming lead and it is likely Penny Mordant will not get anywhere near the support [100 MPs] to take it to a second round.

Boris claimed he had the necessary 100 MP backing. The figures are not published, so we don't know.
The general feeling is that he had not got anywhere near and, not for the first time, he was lying.

    Says a lot.
Government borrowing costs fell on Monday morning, while the pound rose after Boris Johnson dropped out of the Conservative leadership contest.

Rishi Sunak is confirmed as leader.

No-one else had near the required 100MPs support, despite what they were saying. Rishi had over 200.
