The Irish government is a disgrace though. I think you don't feel so bad about the government here because you are not from Ireland. The Irish working class are getting hammered...it's very frustrating.

I am sure it's frustrating but I am still not sure what just the gov can do better. As I said I think the problem is global. We are after a pandemic , war in Eu and we are in energy crisis.
I lived in many coutries in my life, did you the German working class has less at the moment the the Irish? Did you know about th Germany has not any working army at the moment?

I think Jessica's post is good. There's a lot of things going on outside of the control of the Goverment. It's the nature of the beast to complain about the goverment and that happens in every country not just us. We were actually too generous with our pup payment. People have to accept that they must take responsibility for what's in their control. We are a rich country. People tend to spend too much in good times and find it tough when things get tight.

The thing is I'd say we're in for a few years of serious inflation. The whole fertilizer shortage wont really hit food prizes till next year. The energy crisis is largely self inflicted, closing down cheap coal/gas plants and green energy not coming anywhere close to making up the difference and costing a fortune.
The whole system has been on life support since 2008, near zero interest rates and creating untold billions every year to pump into the system. The music had to stop sometime.
Then they close down the world economy for two years and prints crazy amounts of money to pay for it all just as a cherry on top.

Feeling strained myself the last few months.

Working big hours with not a whole lot to show for it at the end of the month, the joys of running a family building. Fairly frustrating to see a lot of people who do less, earn more and still complain about it. What can ya do though, just give it your best go.

In the middle of selling off a personal project though so that will nett me a nice bit of spending money. I'll have to put a few hundred away and spoil myself with a punt. Been a good while since I've gotten a chance
