You can certainly notice prices moving upwards across a broad range of things. As always inflation particularly in the price of basic items hit people on low incomes and fixed incomes hardest. I can certainly see it in my business the number of companies sending price increase emails is a regular message now. In reality, these price increases get passed on to the consumer, in addition there are increases in pay to compensate for inflation that also get passed on. I advertised a role this week with a salary range of €80-90k, last year that role was paying €75k. The agency say to expect it to take six months to fill

Ireland has always been an expensive place to live , mainly due to successive governments making goods and services expensive and taxing people so much!!
Next winter is going to be difficult for many people here . I think some will have to choose between eating or heating their homes, especially the elderly.

Stuff like own brand milk, bread etc etc is up 10 to 15%. It doesn't effect me thankfully (few euro a week isn't an issue) but I still notice. Anyone struggling before I can't imagine how they are to potter away now.
