I have a friend who is an escort in d4. The police have called on her. They were looking for a couple of guys who roughed up a girl in the area. Even though my friend was clearly working with another girl, the police had no issue with her.
In my experience, police are only interested in the scene if there is any hint of violence against the girls, there is nuisance being caused to neighbours or if there are pimps/drugs/gangs involved. I have no concerns about the police when visiting an escort in Dublin.

In fact they can be very helpful when you're in a part of the city that you're not very familiar with. Just show them the address you're looking for and if it's in their district, they will generally be able to give you directions.

Can i just ask, is it or is it not illegal to be one, or to go to visit escorts or prostitutes? I mean isn't there a slight or a certain term that differenciates the two? A friend of mine who is an escort told me that people who gave her hassle were going to call the cops and tell her where the girl was working and who she was, but what would the cops do about it? And if they are so protective of escorts, i.e. watching a certain place where the might've been told by the escort earlier that she had a feeling that she would be with a dodgy client or maybe it was someone that she had been with before and she wasn't sure about them, and the guards are looking out for her and protecting her, she's bound to have told them that she is an escort, but do the guards not have a problem with the girls doing this in the city? Sorry for asking and commenting on this, i don't mean to lash out at the escorts at all, i mean i escort with different girls every couple of weeks or thereabouts and i've no problem with them at all, but there are thousands of people out there and they do have serious problems with this sort of thing and they get off on being informers to the cops, but what are the cops actually going to do about it and what are they able to do, as in what are their powers in what they can do in a situation like this? And what is the legal and legal part of all this, please explain cos i honestly don't really know to be exact.

Ok, then u can ask the guy who was caught by the police with us when we were in Cork Maybe the police can go and catch the escort and the punter whenever they want.
