Just seen a notification that a girl I'd met a few times is following me on Instagram. My worry is how did she find me.
I think she'd have to use a reverse image search engine and then look for me, plus a picture would have been taken without my knowledge, that seems alot of trouble and for what.
I am being paranoid and should I worry ? Ive blocked her since. Any thoughts please?

Don't get your knickers in a twist, you probably came up as a follow suggestion due to your phone number. She must have saved it.

All the time in my facebook at ''people u might know'' clients profiles come up. Maybe instragram have same feature? i,m not sure.

Facebook own Instagram and WhatsApp. They have a number of algorithms to determine data to either sell you ads or suggest things/people you know or like. If a lady saves your number in her phone, you number is associated with your social media account if you have the apps on your phone. Thers also location data. Of you have location turned on your social media apps know where you are.
So it's likely that the algorithm either detected that ye were in the same location but most likely that she had a new number in her phone that also had social media accounts and just made a suggestion.

It's simply a feature of the apps so I doubt it's her taking a photo and doing a reverse image search.
