    Unhappy Fucking Cats...

    WOW!!!

I had no idea there was Cat AIDS. I had several Cats when I was groing up. But we never came accross Cat AIDS. Jesus thats a tough one.

We had a few strange incidents with some of our Cats.

    1. We had a lovely Cat named Kitty (I know very original) she was pregnant but with complications. She was only giving birth to two kittens (her second litter) but one of the kittens died in her womb. We noticed her pregnancy was going over term so we went to the vet and discovered this. She had surgery and we were able to save her and the other kitten. We named her Scampy.

    2. A year later Scampy was poisoned by some guys trying to kill our dog. But Scampy didn't die straight away. The vet couldn't save her so we had her put down. Kitty later died on the road. We suspected suicide. Seriously Kitty wasn't silly on the road. Also after her last surgery with Scampy we had her neutered. So givin' that non of her 2 litters survived and that she couldn't have kittens anymore we concluded that she commited sucide.

    3. We had another Cat a Tom. Felix was his name because he looked like the Felix Cat. Anyway he was attacked by a person (don't know who). He had his face badly kicked in and he lost one of his eyes. We had reconstuctive surgury (I'm not kidding) done on his face. His jaw had to be wired back together. He also had a patch of hair/skin taken fron his leg and placed over his lost eye. He looked great and was very happy to the end. But he did have bad breathing for a long time. He later was killed on the road. Probably because he only had one eye.

In the end Cats are bastards. We had shit loads of them. I loved everyone of them but they always seem to fuck-off and die on you in the stupidist of ways.

I suggest putting her down. If you don't she'll only find some other way of killing herself.

Fucking Cats. They always let you down.

Guys thank you so much for all the nice reactions and advices. I’m so thankful. I had a very very hard week, but things seems to get fine again. I see the sun shining again...

After being very very sick, today my cat start eating and walking around the house again like she has just raise from the death. Also I got the test results from the vet today.
The FIV test came out neither positive or negative. This mean there is an alteration in her immune system but so far they don’t know yet if she have it or not. The vet told me that many times the first test come out like that, especially when she is sick or she just got infected. I have to wait another 6 months to do the test again and then we will know for sure if she have it or not. All the other tests came out negative, so right now the vet doesn’t know what my cat is suffering of. But he said she is very thin and that is strange.
But it seems she wants to live!!! The last few days I gave her lots of love and the best care. Today she was back on her feet and she seems like getting well again. If she doesn’t have FIV the only thing I can think of that perhaps somebody tried to poison her or something like that. She was lost for her week and also came home without her collar like somebody took it off, I don’t know. But even if they tell me at the end she have VIF I will try to do everything in my power to let her enjoy life a few more years. I will only take her down if she is really in pain and suffering. I read that cats with VIF can live a long life having good care. She is only approximately 1 year old, so she deserve to live a bit longer.

She came at my door very hungry a few months ago on bankholiday after being dumped by her former owner. First I thought she did run away from home or she was from the neigbours. But after looking for her owner for a month and asking all over the neigbourhood even having her carying a note on her neck, I conclude together with my vet that she must have been dumped by someone. She was clearly not a streetcat, but a home/family cat. She was too well educated. We get so atached to each other that everytime I came back home from Ireland, I bring my cat a toy or some food from Ireland. When I open the door my cat will greet me then with joy jumping on me and knowing that I brought her some gift from ireland. We love each other.
So I’m more relief now seeing her doing better. My priority now is getting her fit again. I also hope the second test to be negative, that will be a joy.
Now I can fly to Ireland tomorrow more relief and she will be in good hands with my neigbour-vetstudent that will take good care of her while I’m in Ireland.

That's very good news Jess , what a relief eh . And as for Rics post above , recommending you put her down tut tut Ric , tut tut ! Always give things time before making that terrible decision to end a life .
And some people can't stand cats , but they don't understand that a cat will be loving when it chooses to be , whereas a dog will be by your side 24hrs a day . A dog left out in the back will pine to get back in , a cat will disappear at night and not come back till morning and then spend the next 12 hrs sleeping . It's said that a dog will obey you , but you obey the cat as they only do things if they want to no matter how much you try and make them , they just wont do it !

Sounds like her immunity dropped and she is picking up again. If she was in danger the vet would say so ,so if the vet is thinking six months for another test, she is fine.Even if she is positive ,she can still get along fine. The important thing here is she isnt in any immeadiate danger.

    good to hear,

Default My sisters cat caught it

from a cattery in France - she is 100% fine, unless she gets abit stressed then one of her eyes start to get sore, suppose it affects them in different ways...

Never knew you lot were so stuck on cats, or is it just anything to do with 'pussy?'
