A 100 years ago you'd have been bang in the middle of it all, sipping absinthe with Hemingway and Picasso and everything.

I haven't sampled but certainly lots of options around Rue St Denis / Bld de Strasbourg.

Street walkers on the little ring road that circles behind the road around the Arc de Triomphe. Some gorgeous girls and some a bit rougher there. I was invited to a 'club' one evening by a very dodgy guy on the street around there that seemed more just a lap dancing club. I politely declined.

Seems to be places on the side streets near Montparnasse train station (that's near the graveyard Beckett is buried in, if you fancy culture too!).
