    Default R.I.P. Taylor Hawkins

Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins has been found dead in his hotel room in Bogota where the band were touring.

The 50 year old leaves behind a wife and 3 children.

I must admit I've never seen the band live but they are 1 band I'd love to see.

Just after watching Taylor singing Under Pressure with Roger Taylor's son Rufus deputising on the drums.

    Rock in Peace Rufus.

I'm absolutely devastated over that. Terrible news to wake up to. I seen the Foos live in 2019 and Taylor was always so full of energy...he was a great drummer and loved to sing the Queen covers. Dave and the band will find it hard to continue without him. Rest in peace brother. That's so sad.

Sad indeed and my apologies for getting my Taylor's mixed up at the end of my post.
The insomnia must be getting to me.

That's a funny mix up because Taylor was a huge Queen fan and usually would do a cover of one of their songs at a gig...he did a good Freddie Mercury. That's really sad news. Probably the biggest shock since Chris Cornell died. Bowie's death was really sad, but he was much older. Only 50? He was mad on the drum kit, but I don't really understand it? Wife and kids too. Dave has had tragedy hit two bands now with Kurt back in '94 and now this. I wouldn't be surprised if that was it for the Foos...him and Dave were so close.

I seen another video a while back where he sang Under Pressure and there was a guy in the audience dressed like Freddie and they got him up on the stage with the band.

I hope and think that Dave Grohl will continue with the band.
Dave Grohl is more than just a front man for the band, he is Foo Fighters. Nirvana on the other hand couldn't continue without Cobain.

Yeah you are probably right. Their debut album was a solo album by Dave...he actually played everything himself. Dave is one of the greatest drummers of all time too so he can even do that job himself! I think this will hit him hard though and they have been together for nearly 30 years. Crazy to think 30 years ago and you're only in the 90s...where is the time going? Yes Dave is the Foo Fighters, but Taylor was his right hand man.

Terrible news to hear this morning. I've never seen them live. But the Foos had some great albums. Feel awful for Dave and the band. Also for his wife and children. RIP Taylor. You died to young.

Im devastated by this news also
Foofighters will never be same again Taylor and Dave Grohl were so close
I seen an interview with Dave where he sat at Taylor’s bedside for days after an overdose, he was super talented
    RIP Taylor

I know we shouldn't surmise, but we know the circumstances here? Maybe I'm wrong. Cobain, Andrew wood they couldn't escape their demons and didn't survive the 90s, Layne Staley in 2002, but he was dead for years by then the poor guy. Cornell was a shock because he had survived the crazy times and was settled down with a family. Now Taylor at 50. Fucked up. So sad.

I'm Totally shocked to hear the sad news of Taylor's death.
Such a great musician, always smiling, and joking, such a force behind the drum kit.
Dave must be devastated. It's going to be very difficult for him to continue with the Foo Fighters...
May you rest in peace brother.
