I'm just giving my impression. There were, at one time, a lot of very nasty posts on E-I. I recall one episode where a member came close to accusing an escort of being complicit in a client's death.
Certainly I formed the view that this was not a fun place to post. My comments earlier reflected my delight that things here are very good nowadays, since the Community Mods were appointed.
And, as for Amus - well, he and I have a special sort of relationship. Deep down i think we rather like one another. At least I rather like him.
If I have offended you in any way, then sorry - my post was supposed to be positive and complimentary.
Well, there were some feuds on IIE all right. To me they never seemed as "heavy" as some of the postings on here -- but that is just my subjective view. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say it was a bed of roses either
As for its "demise" - firstly, IIE is still there, though it has been very quiet of late. I do think that the standard of moderation dropped quite significantly in recent times. That, along with "the list" is responsible for a lot of long-standing members leaving.
Only time will tell, but it may be the case that IIE is going through a slow patch and will come alive again with new members, and the recent problems will fade into history.
Certainly the positive changes on EI were timely in that I suspect a lot of former IIE regulars joined-up here (perhaps using a different name).
On a personal note, I have never really understood the antagonism between the two sites. I've been a member of both for several years and use both when punting -- I suspect that most members look at both sites from time to time.
Internet forum users are a very fickle group of people and they owe allegience to no one.
In my own circumstance, i joined iie around 4 years but i used browse both sites but i will say 3 years ago the forum here was dead and i wouldnt have seen an escort that advertised here (imo they were all agency) .
Its amazing how things change and who knows it could change again.

I think overall the mods have contributed greatly to the running of the forum. I think they aren't being helped by people going out of their way to stir crap after any time they make a decision.
I agree there is always room for constructive criticism but the way it's being delivered is belittling and lacks tact.
In regards to these duplicate accounts allegedly being created by banned members, I think regardless of whether it was ngan or not is irrelevant. If a new member arrives and has immediately set out to cause trouble, I think they should be kicked out straight away.
This forum is used to characters and banter, and the occasional dust-up, but since the mods have been around these things get stamped out fairly quickly. They should at least get the credit they deserve for that.
Tough on the outside, sweet and sticky on the inside, and I rarely crumble.
No one is disputing that people who are only here to cause trouble should be given the bums rush my personal complaint or rather suggestion is that banning people new or old should be done transparently and that is not happening and where there is no transparency then people are obviously going to question and presume that things are being hidden from them for some nefarious reason.
The mods basic line is that we are not doing anything wrong and it is none of the communities business why they make the decisions they do.
My opinion is that as far as possible moderating should be transparent and the current system is wide open to abuse even if you believe no abuse has taken place yet.
Its the Crips and the Bloods all over again
indeed the current situation seems unfair on poor old tim as it is anyone that has had his/her nose knocked out of joint by tim can set up a new account abuse Anna23 and earn tim another week or maybe a permanent ban.
It seems that niceboysarenice was banned on the presumption it was ngan which seems to have been wrong
