So what you're saying is that Ukraine is not a recognised sovereign nation with the right to elect its own government.

The reality is that it is its own country, it attacked nobody and threatened no foreign nation. Internal conflicts are internal, and do not warrant foreign intervention.

We may not, for example, like the extreme policies of Iran, North Korea, or any number of other countries or political regimes, but we recognise that they are free to exert their own political decisions internally.

Putin had no justification for this. It is completely illegal, and beyond that, I fail to see how Kiev is part of donbas region, so how justify attacking there?

The support for Putin's murder plot on this forum is abhorrent, and if that is the good auld scientific elite telling you how things are, then I've no problem with it.
