I've noticed a bizarre fracturing happen among my comrades in the ever-further splintering left since this Ukraine thing kicked off.
Originally - as far as I'm aware - the general left ( I said left, not liberal ) was in agreement that Putin had no intentions of invading.
Some were of the opinion that he was flexing on his western boarder as a signal to the US interventionists. A few strategic literati were saying he was mounting forces to forestall a planned Ukrainian bombardment of the Russian separatist areas on the border.
Then he invaded and suddenly there's this weird bunch of 'leftwingers' that will warp everthing they've ever believed in to support Putin because the US is the only Imperialist power and that's just the way it is.

It's honestly been very disappointing and also very revealing for me to see some of this shit.
