Ukraine talking of joining NATO was fucking madness...never going to work. What were NATO thinking? They will negotiate and it will be decided Ukraine will never join NATO so why did this happen? It was obvious that was going to be an issue. America went to Vietnam because they were afraid of the "domino affect" of communism spreading in South East Asia...yeah how did that work out? Great minds alright.

Ukraine will never strike a peace deal if they insist on joining NATO. If they decide not Putin is screwed and will have to pull back. The problem is the economic issues caused by this could go on far longer than they should. The US will be in no hurry to undo sanctions. The whole war was totally ridiculous. Russia incidentally are on the verge of a massive default which will further damage Putin. Unlike what the US are saying I don't think China are giving Putin the kind of help that the US claim. Ukraine are a huge trading partner of China as well.

Thankfully she has been released after receiving a fine. Maybe she's too high profile to just disappear without a trace.

Putin's running out of cards at an alarming rate. He couldn't afford to have her touched.

On top of everything else, you've got the issue of war crimes which the brits and US will try to push. They will want and expect Putin's ass when this is over. Only issue is will that help things?

Now apparently peace talks seem to progress. Interesting thing is Zalensky or whatever his name is has hinted at NATO concessions in that Ukraine may not join NATO. If that's the case, a sincere kick in the balls is what he needs. Anyone else starting to wonder are we dealing with one moronic dictator on one side and a moron on the other?

Several days ago Zelensky ( that’s his name : the Ukrainian Prez ) Had straight come out and said

he no longer has interest in joining NATO seeing that NATO is a bloodless cowardly mofo ,

not prepared to Protect —- I feel Awful for the man ! He Is a hero of his people !

But he had failed to realize - just as Georgia did in 2008 !! - that an ‘Invitation’ to NATO

means buck-all .

What he neglected to recognize is that Ukraine ( just same as Georgia ) are Not of

Vital military / geopolitical interest to NATO / US .

I feel awful for the man . I sincerely Hope he survives .



If he could pocket his Pride ( I Knooow , it’s Awful !! ) , and negotiate with the Rus

on the terms of no NATO , no EU membership :: the ‘Peace talks’ may get somewhere .

: they will get a perfectly serviceable puppet govt . ; the Brain of the country will flee -

- as they already are doing ; the poor and uneducated and ‘shepherdable’ will remain ,

and will always ‘Vote’ the way they’re Told .

And That shall be the front door / front hallway to Rus Territory .

It’s horrors for 60% of Ukrainians / especially the young ones who Wanted to open

to the West , wanted Democracy , wanted Protection from a war that is enraging today

There was No Legal grounds for NATO to ‘Occupy’ Ukraine !

And as above ^^^ it would’ve put NATO in Direct confrontation with Rus .

Come to think of it , it prob would Not have been ( Legally , Diplomatically AND as far as Rus

exercise - On Ukraine land !! - just as the Rus were building up their arms on the border and

It’s a mess . Zelensky - what a man - needs to sit and talk - if he can : to save his own people .

He expected that NATO would fast track Ukraine membership which wasn't possible, he expected NATO to bombard Putin which wasn't going to happen unless they had to, that is a member state attacked by Russia. Highly doubt that will happen now. In fact a military expert has given Putin's army about two weeks before its finished. I reckon morale in the Russian army right now is soul destroying.

The West ‘meddling in’ Ukraine 🇺🇦 affairs ;

The West drawing Ukraine closer to EU and to Democracy and inviting it to NATO membership .

I think it’s horrors ; it’s reason ( I can relate ) and action ( I do Not agree !! ) is justified in Putin’s mind

And still I maintain : all Nations , all people should be able to Choose their Own path

without a strong neighbor pushing them down !

But :

If we had left Ukraine 🇺🇦 to develop at its own pace , without undue influence from us ,

let them fight their own battles — with the inevitable Rus puppet govt — on their own power ,

This way Putin has ‘reason’ for his demented actions : West trying to ‘democratize’ a

I'm just giving my very unqualified opinion on the matter.

It's too late now of course for Nato to intervene without starting WW3 but unfortunately I think that's inevitable anyway.

I must confess I didn't pay too much attention to what was happening in Ukraine before the invasion, I just thought putin was trying to look like a hard man as he often tries to do.

I'm sure Ukraine would have been happy for Nato troops to be on their soil many weeks ago, I honestly think this would have stopped putin from sending his army in. They are inexperienced and badly equipped, the Uk's army alone could defeat them , nevermind the combined might of Nato.

I understand why this is happening, that despicable little shite putin wants to look like a hero , it's one big ego trip . He wants to be known as the president that stood up to the west and reunited some former soviet countries with Russia. I know he won't back down and the petulant little man is capable of using nuclear weapons. He is finished no matter what happens, I just can't wait for it to be over for the sake of the Ukrainians and the ordinary Russian people that want nothing to do with this .

In War ( in Any confrontation ) it is Imperative that you Always leave an opportunity for your opponent

to Exit gracefully - without Losing Face .

We ( the ‘West’ ) are Not doing that — and I see that as a Huge failing .

reestablish full military etc. etc. etc. >>> that’s Not De-Escalating . ::
