a heretofore Russian-authorized Ukrainian civilian humanitarian convoy delivering aid

to Russian occupied area was bombed : innocent civilians , children lost .

Here's what's doing the rounds on the internet.
Russia. So they don't have to honour contracts to deliver gas.

US. Biden said he'd end the nord gas lines if Russia invaded. Suddenly nord lines are ended. US are now upping there shipping of LNG to Europe. Billions more to be made..

Norway. It's just opened its new pipe line to supply Europe. Now it has a monopoly on supplying direct gas to main land Europe.

Ukraine. To prevent the EU buying Russian gas and financing the war.

Lots of others crazy example but they are the main ones.

    Truth is we'll never know.

He actually makes a good point i hadn't considered.
a way of letting Europe know that their own pipelines are vulnerable and could
be hit if they choose to do so without actually doing that
there was no gas coming through either pipeline to europe anyhow so their being damaged
is of no real consequence to russia

It's a big consequence to Russia. They were using pipeline as a weapon against Europe. They've turned it off and back on several times already to prove to Europe and in particular Germany that it still needs Russian gas. If we get a bad winter then Europe will suffer greatly due by lack of supply. This is known and that is why gas wasn't a major part of the sanctions against Russia. Now that weapon and all the finances the gas brought in is gone.
As for the excuse of showing Europe it's pipelines are vulnerable and could be hit sorry no not likely any hits that damage a European pipeline will be classed as an attack on Europe's energy infrastructure and thus an attack on a Europe itself which is attack on NATO thus leading to war. That's the thing Putin would want because that means NATO goes to war and if it doesn't go to war it'll make NATO look weak that they can't defend it's own infrastructure and with the Chinese watching on NATO and in particular the US don't want to look weak.
