Thank for this explains along, so what do people think Putin's intentions are? Could it be to take over Moldova Belarus and maybe other countries with a large Russian speaking population?

What exactly do you like about Putin?

I like his domestic policies such as self-sufficiency of Russia, fit and healthy citizens, limited migration with a preference for christians, traditional family, environmental and conservation causes, sports and stuff like that. I also admire how he doesn't bow to western pressures especially from the United States. How he conducts himself and speaks also, it is no wonder that Putin has had the overwhelming support of Russia for quite some time now. I always get a real sense of fairness and justice from him. His arguments continue to make a lot of sense. I have never seen Putin or his policies getting caught in hypocrisy while I see it all the time in the west.

Here's an example of western media lies - I heard one correspondant on Talk Radio yesterday stating as fact that Putin is not even trying to claim correctness anymore, that it's some sort of perfunctory thing, like how some actual conqueror in history stating he was there to visit the architecture of the country or something like that. That argument is designed to give people who don't know anymore a horrific perception of Putin. Such a claim we know, if you have any knowledge of this at all, is objectively false, absolutely outrageous, and there have been loads and loads of falsehoods spread by western media over the years. Just outright, barefaced lies. Not to mention all the incompetence and inertia in the systems.

Meanwhile I have never seen Putin being caught in a lie, despite all the things said about him noone can actually show where he has lied or been hypocritical. Of course this doesn't necessarily prove the west are wrong about everything and Putin is actually perfect, but when you have corruption and lies to the core non-stop from the west, you can't respect that.

There's going to be a lot of lies and garbage coming from western media sources and politicians about Putin over the coming days and weeks and I won't believe a word of it. They have lied and broken trust too many times. I notice Daily Mail are already posting horrific images as if Putin was at fault for them and neglecting to show the images of the separatists vs central ukrainians who have been fighting a bloody war for many years now that Putin is trying to halt once and for all with this action.

Those were military drills including nuclear drills that he was talking about. He was assuring that those exercises were purely drills, he was not starting a nuclear war.

He did not say "we did the drills and are now going home". On the contrary, read the lower part of the article - he stated he was not afraid of sanctions and warned the west that if they didn't cooperate there would be major trouble.

These are more examples of what western sources come up with - half truths, taken all out of context to turn them into full lies.

Basically, Putin wants to reform Russia like it was back in the good old U.S.S.R days, before all the other countries broke away .

We went through exactly what he said. He did not say that, in fact he said almost the exact opposite - that there would be big trouble if diplomatic solutions weren't arranged. I have nothing further to add on this.
