However, he is now (Eton notwithstanding) starting to wilt. Vote of no confidence possibly soon.
He is not standing up well to pressure either. Doing badly at interviews and not looking statesmanlike generally.

How did Boris get it so wrong ? Boris has been in the public eye most of his life in a variety of high profile roles, how did the Conservative party and the electorate get it so wrong, but look at Trump in the USA. Then again, look at the history of some politicians in Ireland and they always get re-elected.

In a democracy the electorate generally get the standard of political they deserve.

The real winners in recent years are Russia and China.

Absolutely right as the voters of Tipperary have proven time and time again.
FF under Bertie were another example of this and the populism will not end with Sinn Fein as the largest party after the next election.
