    : Little boys’ cries of distress willfully ignored ( not by ignorant ! ) mothers and caretakers

    all in the name of ‘toughen up’ the little tyke “For Life” ..



    How many of you guys been brought up like that ?

    Not by negligent parents , but by well meaning Mums like that ?
    I do what I want. I cannot do otherwise.

    It's shocking that something like this can happen. What a wonderful young lady she seemed. Young, beautiful, talented musician, great sportsperson and a lovely person. A great role model for the children she taught. In general a great role model for anyone. May she rest in peace.

    Society is finally waking up the ills if man. Fegus Finlay has a fine article in the Examiner today. It is all men and we need to recognise this to change!

    No that was not my experience.

    I was brought up by two very progressive (for their time and circumstances) adoptive parents who taught us tolerance and respect for everyone.

    I consider myself very lucky in that respect.

    It's more than that, it's boys being told to get up when they scrape their knee as young kid, it's locker room talk , it's the staring and so much more. Young boys need to be trained not to be men like their fathers are..

    Have to say I cried watching her funeral on the news, so sad, could have been my daughter / nieces, sister etc
