A lot of hotels require a card to leave reception..so unless the escort throws the card out the window into the car park for you to pick it up ,its a challenge.

Escorts will normally know what the issues might be at the hotel they are in, so they will let you know in advance about anything like keycards, difficult lifts to find etc.
I have visited in hotels many many times, including very recently, and never had an issue. Make sure you are dressed reasonably smartly - eg trousers and a shirt - you will blend in easily as someone using the hotel on a business trip. As someone said above, behave as if you are returning to your room.
I make sure that I know the location of the lifts and the room number before I walk in, so I can wander casually to the lifts - usually glancing at my phone in the way everybody does everywhere these days. No need to even look over at reception - behave like someone who does not need help. Wear a mask on the way in, in case it is the house rule.
Be ready to walk on past the room if there are cleaners beside the door, and return a bit later when they have moved on.
When you reach the room, don't knock loudly - just a gentle tap if necessary. When the door is opened walk in quietly, and don't speak until the door is closed.
I wouldn't dream of using the lift from car park to the room. I always believe it's a dead giveaway to what you are doing as there are cameras everywhere and I imagine someone sitting watching the people coming and going. Lets face it punters stand out a mile in those situations.

It's all about being prepared.
If the hotel has a pool I always bring a pair of armbands, rubber ring, my own hello kitty bath towel and matching swimming trunks. Normally get changed in the carpark and saunter in the door. When I get to the lift the girl in reception will open the lift for me and bingo you're in.
To really blend in I also put on my rubber swimming hat. That combined with the face mask and all the cameras in the world couldn't recognise you...... simples
Or just walk in like you own the place. Much prefer hotels

Haha I hope nobody takes that seriously! You definitely wouldn't be bothered by the staff though...mind you I'm not sure how it would go down when you get to the hotel room!
It is important to know the room number before getting out of the lift - i have experienced of girls not wanting to give out the room number until you reach the floor. Not a good idea as you stand out like a prick not knowing what direction to go in whilst waiting to receive the room number.
I also tend to avoid mornings as cleaning staff more likely to be about - wait til after lunch!
