    Rember this:
"The grass always seems greener on the other side of the fence"

"However mean your life is, meet and live it; do not shun it and call it hard names. It is not so bad as you are. It looks poorest when you are richest. The fault-finder will find faults even in paradise. Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the almshouse as brightly as from the rich man’s abode; the snow melts before its doors as early in the spring. Cultivate poverty like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old; return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts… Superfluous wealth can buy superfluities only. Money is not required to buy things necessary for the soul."
    H.D.T.

It's called having responsibilities I suppose, you have to work to support yourself and your family. It's not glamorous or exciting but it has to be done.
We have two lives , the second begins when we realise we only have one .....

We are on a rock hurtling trough space. Life has no meaning.

In psychiatry they say life is a river of misery with islands of happiness. The trick is recognising those islands when they come along.

Is hectic but what has been left out is the nuance, the little joys that keep us going..the days your kid surprises you with new found independence in the morning, seeing them build and develop friendships in school and slowly seeing their homework become too complicated for you is a joy. I know.
Having a good woman by your side makes it better still because your supported.
There is a period of like with lots of love but less "how's your father?!". Kids grow up though and you go back to what you described, travel, experience ect..a life paying for intimacy is devoid of love even though it provides an outlet so to speak.

    Hi Dad,

There are little eyes upon you and they are watching day and night.
There are little ears that quickly take in all you say.
There are little hands that are all eager to do everything you do.
There is a little boy who is dreaming of the day he will be like you.
You are the little fellows idol.
You are the wisest of the wise.
In his little mind of you no suspicion ever rises.
There is a wide eyed little fellow who believes your always right,
His little ears are always open and he watches you day and night.
You are setting an example everyday in all you do
For the little who is waiting to grow just like you ,

I have not been in a relationship since before covid-19. I have only visited one escort since we came out of the worst of it. Still playing it safe and got into a routine of not visiting. I have me poor willy pulled off myself! As soon as I get my booster I will be a happy punter again. But I have to reply to you and say, yes I have been paying for intimacy for a very long time, even while I was in relationships. But my live is not loveless. I love most of my family to bits, nieces and nephews who I am very close to. As well as two ex partners who I still love very much despite the fact that we can't live together and are bad for each other, better off close friends which we are.
