The key is not to prioritise your schedule but schedule your priorities.

Playing hide the willy shouldn't be top of the list but its very close.

I ve never think about that before but the way you write this is kinda scared me. That's not life, that a routine... A boring routine. Life should be all about living , excitement, descover, love, travel...see and learn new things... and have fun, be happy . If all my life won't be like that then I don't want it. (I clearly don't want the life that you described)

It is called been institutionalised by society, for the majority of people (myself included ) once you behave like a perceived adult and get married, buy a house and have kids your life is pretty much prescribed for the 20-25 years. Have to admire those who either do not follow that path or have the free spirit to live a different version. On the bright side, when you get mortgage free and kids have flown the nest you then get to see the life you did not buy could have had if you made different choice also

The way you put it sounds like a torture alright but all its about finding your joy where you can, doesn't have to be anything major, break the routine before it breaks you, I make sure that I work to live and not the other way around but I'd also not a swap a single minute of the last twenty years, watching kids grow up strong and independent is one of the bests gifts I've ever received

Hmm... Lovely routine! Sometimes it's boring, but it depends from what side you look.
From bad side - yes, same every day, no bright day, nothing happens...
From bright side - look you have family, someone are waiting at home, someone gives you a kiss, hugs you, waiting at home. You can share your fun/disappointment... You can see your kids growing everyday, they become smarter and taller... I won't be talking about fun during holiday break... That's not a routine then. After dark day there's always a bright day.
Turn your day into fun, little gifts, surprises brightens it!
Take me to the moon babe...

You never know what you had until you are about to loose it. I worked long hours all my life. Was in a very stressful job and missed a lot of my kids growing up. It used to really hurt when I saw my my father-in-law standing in pictures of days out where I should be. My father-in-law tried to replace me and even though his weight around at one time in our family.

I then was injured very badly at work. I sat on our sofa, drugged up on pain meds and lossed another chunk of my kids lives.

It was only when my wife was leaving me and taking my kids away from me that I realized how much I truly loved them. I have now have a very close relationship with my two youngest. They are teenagers now, can think for themselves more and can understand why things happened the way they did.

I worked in a job where others depended on me, but if I had to do it all over again I would have put my family first and left the world to sort out its own shite.

Well if the kids are at school they could teach you some punctuation.
