Too much cleaning afterwards or what
    That's insane !

But I guess it's a thing so I may do that too ha ha
Will I get a review cos of that yah hahaha
I do ask my clients to take off the shoes since I moved to Dublin, all girls who shared with me, needed to do the same.
Everybody was very happy for the clean apt, room, bathroom, fresh bed linens, towels.

    I have only positive feedbacks.

We are all used to something different, it often happens to me that some of clients wonders why they should take off their shoes after coming to the apartment. Is it normal for you to take off your shoes on arrival or do you walk in shoes at home?

They have different habits in different parts of the world, so what are you used to?
I never asked my clients to take off their shoes when enter in my apartment just because naturally I was expected them to do by themselves not have to ask for. I thought is natural to do this as I was raised and educated thinking is a normal thing to do when u enter in the house take off your shoes (in my country) . If I entered with outside shoes in my mom house as a child , she will get nuts lol (even now) .
Then I realized I was wrong expecting this. . Very rarely they done it and I felt embarrassed to ask them (don't know why) .So I removed my carpets and now I don.t have to wash all the time the rugs because the dirty shoes . Just mop the floor and that's it.

In my own home, or friend's and relatives houses. I'd never remove shoes when entering unless they were dirty. Family homes would mostly be tiled kitchens and bathrooms, sensible wood flooring in living areas and carpeted bedrooms. Most times when I'm looking for a particular pair of shoes, I find them in the bedroom, meaning that I was still wearing them when I entered.
Floors are typically brushed or vacuumed at least once a day and hard floors mopped at least once a week.
If I do remove my shoes entering a friend's house I'd likely get a comment like 'Oh God, how long are you staying this time'. And I'd be saying 'don't worry, it's just my shoes aren't clean.'
But, when an escort asks me to remove my shoes, well that's the ice broken. Now which way to the shower?

I am not interested to reply in the same way like you. You didnt understand the whole point of thread. That is fact, but still its not neccesary to be bad or ironic. I am not curious about this.
Hope you are well anywhere you are.

When the oil man comes to fill the my friends oil tank. His mother has a few long plastic runner mats to lay out the entire way from the front door to the back door.

Will I ask her where she got them. Sounds like a solution to the shoes on or off debacle.

Truthfully Michelle it's only in recent times that I even realised that taking your shoes off entering a house happened anywhere in Europe.

I knew it was practice among the Muslim community and maybe the Asian community but never knew it was practice in European countries.

In most households in Ireland you take of your mucky wellies or boots off at the door.

But some don't even bother taking them off.
    Hello darkness my old friend.....

I have a pair of shoes I got to wear only indoors. They’ve never left the house, as soon as I come in I put them on and leave them on until I’m going to bed or back out…
I don’t mind people asking me to take shoes off when I go visit, although I do think some people should consider cleaning their floor of crap from dogs or cats if they are insisting people walk around in their socks… but generally I’d ask someone if it’s shoes on or off when I visit for the first time.
