Reviews edited before publishing

Pretty much every review that I have ever left that wasn't all five stars has been edited to make it sound more positive.

The most recent example was a few months ago - I left a review after a mediocre encounter with an escort, mentioning the clothes she was wearing when she met me (pyjamas) and commenting on her physical appearance (politely) and these were both taken out. The escort claimed (incorrectly) that she had never met me. I exchanged emails with support, but they refused to change anything.

Now I notice that my mainly 3-star review has been changed to all 4 stars. I left a review attempting to communicate a very mediocre meeting, and it now looks like everything went well and it was mainly positive.

Anyone else with this experience?

The problem ultimately here is a shoddy provider. I assume the mods have to be careful in this day and age with do gooders looking their noses around.
That woman should have enough respect for you, your money and requests to at least try and be attractive.
I feel for you as I have been there before and it sucks to know the likes can go on and on scamming..

I’ve read the reviews of the OP and the “bad reviews”
That are now edited are clear to work out so it’s not so bad
What I did notice that he had a very bad negative rep on the forum which most likely does not help his case

Of course i don’t know why that rep is negative

Exactly, you don't know why that is the case.

It happens to be because I have brought this review issue up before, and some escorts and their defenders didn't like the fact that I was asking why 90% of all reviews on the site were 5 stars and suggesting that the reviews cannot be trusted.

The status quo suits a lot of people (especially some escorts) and they don't like anyone rocking the boat.

Bad news guys, that is if you already have not figured it out by now, your opinion does not matter. One day when you start paying for membership to EI, you might have the same leverage, until then, really no point.

Review system is Complete joke and shouldn't be taken seriously. You have the same chance of success going with opt out Escort as with 50+ "5 star reviews".
Even worse is that moderation and censure on this board is so strong that you can't warn about or point out problem.
Had the same experience recently with Escort who didn't even try to look good for booking, it was bad all over and complete waste of money. The sad part is that I didn't even try to leave review as it is pointles.

I've never had stars changed, and that would certainly be the final straw for me leaving any reviews.

I've had negative reviews "held" and then not eventually published, with "my word against hers" given as the excuse.

I have also had irritating edits by people with poor English that leave them making no sense.

It is worth hanging onto confirming texts until your review is published. A couple of times I have managed to get a negative one published by sending screenshots of these after the escort claimed to have never met me. The two times this happened though, the escort then opted out so the reviews disappeared.

If the escort claimed that she never met you and support believed you then the review should have been deleted.

Start a thread on HOW TO PROVE THAT AN ENCOUNTER TOOK PLACE as obviously there are a number of things that punters need to do before an encounter so that they can prove afterwards that an encounter took place. I am sure EI support will be supportive and contribute to the thread by making helpful suggestions
