The facts about evolution are so overwhelming that even the catholic church has officially acknowledged it as a fact.

As you will see even the Catholic Church has evolved !

I bet you do believe in evolution by the way.
Do you believe that dogs are basically wolves, in that selective breeding has made them the way they are today, i.e. controlled evolution.

    and as for pigs.....

I totally agree. But I also think that people - all people, since forever - have at least thought about the existence of a higher power, be this higher power Fate, God, or just sheer Luck. Eventually, we all wonder whether one of those three has it in for us - perhaps in a moment of desperation.

Now that doesn't mean that any of them exist, if such a thing as Luck can be said to exist. My point is that I think that nobody in their heart of hearts ever truly discounts these higher powers from their lives.

If everyone on Earth was a committed Buddhist then we truly would be living in utopia, or as close to human nature as we can get it.

For the last while i have being studying buddhism and doing meditation ,the reason being that i am highly strung and cant stay still either. While this is great it would also be great to be able to quiet my mind at will.

Since i have no kids and am not married ,i am looking into leaving the catholic church officially and converting to buddhism although i am not shaving my head.I am however willing to do back flips (i can already) and various other types of zen and meditation.

My q.Has anyone here converted to another religon? Is anyone considering converting to another religon or belief?Like i said i was born a catholic but never really believed in its teachings,i do however have tremendous faith although not along the lines of catholic.

I can buy the orange cardigan no probs,
    Westside.
I have a mate who converted to Buddhisim from catholisism. he loves it his place is like a shrine and he goes out to some universities to give talks on it
