Where did you get 5 1/2 hours from? 180/60=3, 240/60=4. 3+4=7. Am I missing something?

Yes but he decided to extend the 3 hour booking by 4 hours. That he did it 90 mins in doesn't change the original booking length.

Either is possible but IMO there is nothing odd therefore about saying the booking was 7 hours. Or 5 and a half either.

come back online I contacted her to organise a party. I had planned staying for 180 minutes but half way through I extended the party for an extra 240 minutes. Needless to say XXXX is drop dead gorgeous. She has a really nice attitude and is really friendly. I really enjoyed my time in her company.
