Arrow G. Floyd case : Derek Chauvin

“JUST IN — Ex-officer Derek Chauvin sentenced to 22.5 years over George Floyd murder

A court sentenced to former Minneapolis police officer to decades in prison over the killing of George Floyd, whose death sparked outrage and global protests against racial injustice.”

    Long enough ?

What of BLM that sprung from the killings ?
I do what I want. I cannot do otherwise.

What about now seemingly every team ‘taking a knee’ ?

    It's bullshit.
If they wanted to do something they'd destroy qualified immunity.

I mean yeah, it's great that Chauvin got what was coming to him but it changes fuck all.

No problem with anyone asking questions, Stephanie.
The specific question I asked was if you have a problem with people taking the knee.

    Hi Stephanie,

In the American penal system does 22.5 years mean that or could he get out earlier with good behaviour. Is it long enough ? personally I don’t think so but certainly a lot better than the life sentence here which is generally shorter that that length

    Hi xxx

I do believe they count ‘good behavior’ unless he was sentenced with no chance of Parole ?

I’m not too sure about it , but imo it’s a light sentence in light of what transpired :

It was Not an act of passion , nor was he at reduced capacity ( ETOH / drugs / mental illness or episode )

while committing this murder . He knelt and rocked back-n-forth on that man’s neck for some 8 (??) mins ?

That’s calculated homicide and the fact that he was a Law Enforcement Officer should’ve made the sentence

even more severe than for a civilian . I feel ‘Life without Parole’ still would’ve been lenient .

A civilian gets put away for life Or death row for same / less .

    xx

When someone asks a question , it’s only polite to offer an answer before posing your own
