    Default Tokyo 2020

Ireland have made history this evening by beating France in the final of the World Rugby Sevens tournament to book their ticket to the Tokyo Olympics. With full teams in womens` hockey and in the equestrian events also having qualified along with the individual athletes it looks as though Ireland will be sending their largest ever team to an Olympic Games. How many if any medals will they win at the Games?

Gold for McCarthy and O Donovan. Well done lads. The German lads gave them a real contest but Ireland have got their 1st ever Olympic gold medal in rowing. Hopefully Cork resident Sanita Puspure may soon add to the rowing medal collection.

Really really proud of what they have achieved
Seems very cruel on Gary O Donovan if he has had to go home as an unwanted sub, but im sure he is prouder than anyone
