Well done Kellie. A superb gold medal for her this morning. Ireland end the Olympics with 4 medals equalling their total in Atlanta 1996 and if luck had gone their way in other events they could have won a few more. Anyway the Tokyo Games are almost over with the closing ceremony taking place later today but it`s only 3 years to Paris 2024. Hopefully Covid will be a distant memory by then and spectators will be allowed back into the stadiums again.

A great performance earlier today by Kenya`s Eliud Kipchoge who comfortably won the mens` marathon becoming only the 3rd person to win the event for 2 Olympics in a row.

Really disappointed for Michael McKillop this morning, one of our greatest Paralympic athletes, he showed great humility in defeat, and the affection shown by other athletes was amazing
He has had an unbelievable career
