The idea is that escorting (or the adult industry in general) is still a big taboo everywhere, in a sense that there's a lot that do the work but don't tell their families or friends, there's laws that actively try to prevent these jobs, there's "finger-pointing" still even in the open minded societies (which poses the question if they truly open-minded), and since that girl dared to break that "taboo" she needs somebody just as daring, maybe even somebody from the industry, similar to how pornstars date pornstars, actors get along with actors, as these people can really understand each other and the life-style involved in such jobs.

I think for it to work they need to be on the same level of openness, maybe coming from the same industry. It can definitely work but I don't think the majority can make it work, unless they even the field, which mostly ends with the woman leaving behind this industry.

I think most of them start out on the idea that I need money and I can do this for few years, make some good living and leave it behind after I finish my school or when I age a bit or when I want to settle into a serious long-time relationship, which makes it easy for them to leave this job behind as that was the plan all along.

That's what I saw, heard, perceived, doesn't make it true, but I'm entitled to my opinion but open to hear what the actual experience is.

Thing is most of them are saying something along the lines of "no you are horrible and know nothing", but don't bother to actually say something of substance to make others understand a bit more.
