Yes very much so. But this is the era of cancel culture, political correctness and critical race theory all fragments of nascent communism. I would hope for a backlash against this poison in the not too distant future.
It is shaping up to be one of the major issues in the mid-term elections in the US next year and it will be interesting to see what transpires.
